Welcome to Ghillies Hackle & Tackle Fly Shop. My name is Gary Almeida and I have been a professonial Fly Fishing Guide for over 15 years in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

For years clients have been asking me where they can find deals on rods, reels and tackle throughout the US. I decided to create this web site in order to promote sales items and help with suggestions on what tackle you might need to get you going.

I have searched the industry for bargins on new, used and discontinued fly fishing items. Sales items are limited to quantity on hand or avalibility.

For over 18 years I have been fly fishing, fly tying, fly casting instructor and professional fly fishing guide. People often ask me what kind of equipment they should buy or about the latest and greatest fly fishing tackle.

I set up this little store to help cut through the hundreds of products and choices that are out there. In an effort to make your purchase easier, I have narrowed it down to my favorite products from the finest companies in the industry. Many of these products I personally fish with and others have been tested by guides I know and have fished with in the Rocky Mountains.
